About Ponniyin Selvan: I Movie (2022) 

In this film, you will get to see action-adventure and drama in a tremendous form, which is being directed by Mani Ratnam, this film is a Multistar film in which Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Prakash Raj, Jayam Ravi and Trisha Krishnan will be seen in the main characters.

The film shows the early life of the powerful and popular Chola prince(Jayam Ravi), who how gradually gained popularity in South India and became a powerful king by establishing his supremacy.

Prince Vallavarayan Vandiyadevan (Karthi), a brave warrior from Vannar, narrates his adventurous and heroic journey within the Chola Empire. 

Rani Nandini (Aishwarya Rai), the wife of Periya Pajuvettarayar (R. Sarathkumar) popularly known as Mandakini Devi, is on a mission to kill Aditya Karikalan (Vikram) and help her husband to the throne.

Arulmozhivarman discovers the planned conspiracy and many other secrets about Nandini and other ministers.  Bandiyadevan is entrusted with the responsibility to bring Arulmozhivarman from Sri Lanka and save the throne.
